Terry Callier New Album And UK Tour

Released: 25th May 2009

With a career spanning five decades and a back catalogue of 14 albums - combined with regular sold out tours from Europe to Japan - the legendary Terry Callier celebrates his 50th anniversary as a musician with eagerly awaited studio album ‘Hidden Conversations’.

Following Terry’s performance at Massive Attack’s Meltdown Festival in 2008, the two sides collaborated on ‘Hidden Conversations’. Robert Del Naja co-wrote ‘Wings’ and ‘John Lee Hooker’ and exclusively wrote ‘Live With Me’. The collaboration of Massive Attack’s haunting production and Terry’s beautiful, emotive vocals is quite simply, stunning.

This new electronic edge complements Terry’s style perfectly and offers a new direction that will appeal to fans both old and new. ‘Hidden Conversations’ is as innovative and compelling as ever.

Terry will be embarking on a UK tour from the end of May through to June taking in five UK dates, including London’s Union Chapel on the May 29th, his first performance in the capital since his critically acclaimed performance last March at the Jazz Café.

28 MAY – COALTION, BRIGHTON
29 MAY – UNION CHAPEL, LONDON
30 MAY – ASSEMBLY, LEAMINGTON SPA
3 JUNE - GALA THEATRE, DURHAM
5 JUNE – LOWRY THEATRE, MANCHESTER
